Let’s choose a color. Do you want to match an existing towel that you love or buy new towels? Is there a shower curtain to match? Do you need a color to match the tile or the flooring? The options are endless. You can go to the Glidden website and through the color groups to find what you’re looking for.

Kitchen

If its is a small room with little light, you might want to choose a lighter color to make the room look bigger. If it is a large, open, well lit room you could go with a darker color or maybe even an accent color.

Living Room

Do you entertain a lot and want this to be your room that stands out? Do you have a piece of furniture that makes “a statement” that needs accented? Perhaps there’s a color in the upholstery you want to bring more of into the room.

Bedroom

Sometimes you need a calming atmosphere in your bedroom to retreat to. What is your favorite color? Do you need a new bedspread? That can help you with new colors to put a smile on your face.

Every year the paint manufacturers come out with a new list of suggested colors for the year. Please keep in mind that they will never see the room you paint with their colors. Make your home a personal space by using the colors you love.

You might want to just add an accent wall to a room and rearrange the furniture. Pay attention to the colors, etc. when you go to visit other people’s homes. When you see something that really impresses you, ask them what color name and number it is. Or better yet, take a picture with your phone to take with you in the future to find a color chip.

Sometimes something as simple as repainting the trim in a room can totally change the look. Use semigloss paint in a white or off-white to accent the wall color.
